  • I can speak Badimaya at an intermediate level
  • I've tried to learn Russian, Swedish, Welsh, Haitian Creole, Esperanto, Chinese, Cantonese, Japanese, and many other languages. I'm studying Spanish at uni this year, so hopefully I will find more success with a proper learning environment.
  • I'm a tetrachromat, apparently. I think that means I'm more sensitive to colours or differences in colours.
  • I took an IQ test as part of my ADHD screening, apparently my IQ is 130. But I don't know if IQ is even standardised, so really that means nowt.
  • I'm about 25% Welsh and 25% mixed eastern European (Romanian, Hungarian, etc.) The rest is English with a hint of Scandanavian admixture.
  • I can consciously uncouple my eyes. My partner says it makes me look like Perry the Platypus.
  • My fingernails grow at about twice the average rate. This makes them fairly brittle.
  • I suffer from visual snow. It doesn't really bother me.
  • I suffer from autism, ADHD, and OCD. These do bother me.
  • I can voluntarily tense my tensor tympani!
  • I can sing with kargyraa, subharmonics, and ingressive phonation. Not very well yet, but I'm getting there.
  • I have an extremely impaired sense of smell. I can only smell scents that I've been exposed to for a long time. It took me three years at an all-boys boarding school before I was able to smell BO.
  • I was born as a platinum blonde, but now my hair is brown. My dad went through the same progression, and now his hair is practically black. So it figures that my hair will do the same one day, and then turn grey, then white. That means that over my life, I'm going to cycle through every hair colour except for red, which isn't really missing out.
  • I have a very reliable sense of cardinal direction.
  • I taught myself to wiggle my ears! I noticed that they went up whenever I smiled, and so I learnt to isolate the muscles.
  • I once found a video of myself as a toddler in a try-not-to-laugh compilation.
  • My favourite colour is capri.
  • I use the font Gentium Plus in my videos (and this website) due to its support of basically every writing system in the world, especially ExtIPA.
  • The colours I use in my videos, and on this website, are #007FFF (blue, the colour of this website's text) #FF7F7F (red), #FFFFDF (pale yellow, the colour of this website's background), #FFFF7F (regular yellow), #77FF77 (green), #FF77FF (pink), #FF7700 (orange), and #7F7FFF (purple). I use them because I like desaturated colours, but also because their HEX codes are really easy to remember.
  • I am able to get rid of hiccups by regurgitating slightly. It's a very easy fix, but everyone looks at me like I'm crazy when I say I can do it.
  • My mum has a signed copy of Captain Disillusion's Fame Curve DVD. I don't know if that's rare or not, but it's cool as fuck.
